Corporate Compliance

Periop has a Corporate Compliance committee dedicated to protecting the health of your business as it relates to emerging compliance issues. Periop’s appointed Compliance Committee includes a dedicated Compliance Officer and Security Officer.

Periop abides by a comprehensive Corporate Compliance Program driven by our Corporate Compliance Plan.  We take every safeguard possible to stay abreast of changes in federal and state regulations and payor policies.  Our technology, process, and staff are updated on a continual basis to ensure compliant billing activities at all times.

Additionally, every staff member at Perioperative Services, LLC attends continual compliance education training programs.  For our physicians, we provide onsite Provider Education sessions utilizing a proprietary instruction tool to deliver education on the various aspects of compliance and patient care.

Our compliance policies and procedures are formalized in writing to reinforce our commitment to the high standards of business ethics and conduct that our clients expect.

Quality Measurement

In addition to the many quality checks that occur throughout the billing process at Periop, regularly scheduled random work audits are performed. Our Corporate Compliance Plan outlines the requirements and process to review all areas of processing with focus on data entry, medical coding, payment processing, and claims follow-up.
